Essential Job Functions

  • Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations, defines and designs moderately complex system specifications, input/output process and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Conducts the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, installs and/or modifies operating systems, utility software and/or database to meet business unit/client's needs. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems.
  • Provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs to ensure information accessibility, as required.
  • Designs, develops, troubleshoots and analyzes software programs that operate successfully with hardware systems.
  • Analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies.
  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
  • Six or more years of experience in information system design, software engineering, or operating systems programming
  • Experience working with computer hardware
  • Experience working with Windows based computer systems and components
  • Experience working with design and coding languages
  • Experience working with system design principles
