Key Responsibilities:


  • Work on Clusterbased environments to ensure high availability and reliability of databases.
  • Implement and support Log Shipping and Always On High Availability solutions for critical databases.
  • Manage backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular integrity checks and proactive monitoring.
  • Perform performance management and tuning activities to optimize database performance and response times.
  • Administer data security measures and user management to protect sensitive data assets.
  • Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future resource requirements and mitigate potential bottlenecks.
  • Manage extensible data types and oversee database schema creation and management.
  • Stay updated on different versions of SQL Server and leverage features accordingly to optimize database performance and functionality.
  • Perform auditing, indexing, and monitoring activities to ensure database health and performance.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of TempDB, blocking, deadlocks, joins, HINTS, and operators to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Work on Snowflake from an administrative standpoint, managing access, roles, warehouses, clusters, and external integrations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support databaserelated projects and initiatives.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 24 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture.
  • Proficiency in managing Clusterbased environments and implementing high availability solutions like Log Shipping and Always On.
  • Experience with backup and recovery types and disaster recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of performance management and tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with data security principles and user management.
  • Ability to perform capacity planning and resource optimization.
  • Understanding of database schema creation and management.
  • Knowledge of different versions of SQL Server and their features.
  • Experience with auditing, indexing, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of TempDB, blocking, deadlocks, joins, HINTS, and operators.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake administration and external integrations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e

g, Microsoft Certified:
SQL Server Database Administration Associate) are a plus.


Job Requirement
