The Data/Information Mgt Int Anlst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.

Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family.

Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Extensive experience of Data Operating model with focus on Metadata Management, Data Lineage and Data Architecture (e

g:
business glossary documentation, data lineage documentation)

  • Build an understanding of Enterprise Chief Data Office approved tools & capabilities
  • Identify areas of innovation to be implemented in data management across the lifecycle of data
  • Support standards and procedures documentation
  • Lead efforts to implement policies, procedures, and system enhancements to fill current and future Data Governance Gaps
  • Provide all the support to Data Governance/Data Stewards including Partner / stakeholder management, expectations settings with partners, prioritization of work to team members, and act as Data and functional SME.
  • Develop and maintain project management trackers and provide regular updates to managers, senior leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring required controls, checks, governance, process documentation is always upto date and maintained regularly.

Tools and Platforms

  • Exposure to Collibra, Data Lineage Tools, Metadata Management Tools
  • Proficient in advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint with exposure to other MS-Office tools
  • Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse like Teradata, IBM DB2, Oracle
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI preferred

Domain Skills

  • Knowledge of data management and governance standards, such as DAMA-DMBOK and/ or DCAM is an asset
  • Work with business partners to define and document business metadata for Critical Data Elements
  • Strong consumer banking process knowledge; consumer banking systems architecture
  • Detail oriented; diligent and selfdriven along with good mix of product mgmt. / technology background
  • Experience of data lineage, taxonomies, catalogue and metadata management
  • Ensure that Critical Data Element maintenance processes are defined, designed, and documented
  • Banking domain (Cards, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, & Insurance etc.)
  • Risk & control Metrics

Nice to Have Skills:


  • Exposure to BI tools and technologies
  • Tableau / Power BI / SAS BI / QlikView, etc.
  • Exposure to SAS, SQL/data retrieving tools
  • Automation and process reengineering / optimization skills
  • Prior working knowledge in BCBS 239

Educational and Experience:


  • MBA / Masters Degree in Economics / Statistics / Mathematics / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute. BTech / B.E in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications

  • Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields, CIMP certification, DAMA certification
  • 5 to 8 years of handson experience in data management & governance
