As our Network Architect, you'll assist with the design, development, test, and implementation of Webhelp's internal and client-specific IT solutions.

Your role is essential to the growth and functioning of our business and will include but not be limited to the following technology elements:


  • LAN
  • WAN
  • Internet
  • Firewalls
  • Physical interconnects (fibre, copper, radio etc.)
  • Communications protocols
  • Resilience / DR
  • Network Security
  • Other communicationsrelated technologies as required

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the design, development, documentation and implementation of network solutions to ensure optimal system performance and access in a 24/7/365 environment
  • Providing environmental design and layout criteria for network facilities, cabling infrastructure, equipment, and other devices
  • Developing technical requirements and testing plans to evaluate vendor products, services, proposals, and bids
  • Developing and maintaining regular plans to support vendor releases for network hardware, operating systems, and software
  • Ensuring adequate network services, capacity, and availability (e.g., bandwidth, switch ports, cables, and connectivity)
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of current configurations including the baseline templates and optimal configurations and generating regular change reports
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring network performance measures and reports and troubleshooting performance problems
  • Providing technical support and guidance to endusers and stakeholders
  • Installing, configuring, and managing network devices, security appliances, and maintaining document appropriate access procedures
  • Routinely performing security risk analyses to identify network vulnerabilities and generating intrusion prevention and detection reports
  • Recommending and implementing counteractive security measures proactively, and in response to incidents
  • Responding to incidents and security breaches providing root cause analysis
  • Providing support for telephony, including IP phones and integrated communications

What you'll need

  • An indepth technical understanding of IT Network topologies
  • CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) minimum
  • Considerable experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
  • Good knowledge of Cisco VRF lite, BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
  • Good knowledge of Firewall configurations and NGF set up
  • Good troubleshooting methodology
