Job responsibilities

  • Provides feedback for policy and process improvement
  • Assists with training team members
  • Provides quarterly, monthly and weekly cash collections forecast.
  • Joins calls to engage with Project Managers and customers to ensure timely dispute resolution
  • Initiates collection process to ensure accounts receivables are being collected per contract payment terms. Engages other parties such as Project Managers and Directors, Business Development Managers and Directors as needed.
  • Escalates overdue account balances per corporate collection policy engaging other parties, including legal, if necessary
  • Researches and addresses any unapplied cash with the customers to resolve quickly.
  • Encourages Sponsors to deduct their credit memos when paying their invoices.
  • Generates and sends monthly account statements to customers including credit balance statements.
  • Generates and distributes weekly and monthly Open AR Aging reports for multiple global locations.
  • Analyzes monthly bad debt files based on corporate allowance for doubtful account policy for multiglobal locations. Assist in review of historic trends in bad debt writeoffs and analysis of methodology modifications.
  • Pulls data requested by auditors for cash postings within deadlines requested.
  • Reviews Sarbanes Oxley credit and collections compliance with supervisor quarterly and implement process changes to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Develops, maintains and enhances customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field plus Accounts Receivable experience preferable within a CRO or service industry; or equivalent combination of education and Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Proficiency with reading and understanding service based contracts preferred.
  • Oracle Financial systems experience
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, organizational and interpersonal skills, teamoriented and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, understand, and carry out detailed instruction and the ability to organize and work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project.
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet critical deadlines is necessary.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills
