Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute merchandise plans that support the company's overall strategy while maximizing sales and profitability.
• Analyze past sales data, trends, and market conditions to make recommendations on product assortment, inventory levels, and pricing.
• Create seasonal merchandise plans and budgets in collaboration with buyers.
• Allocate products to stores based on sales history, store characteristics, and upcoming promotions.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues with orders.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to inform merchandise planning decisions.
• Prepare regular reports on sales, inventory, and other KPIs for management review.
• Manage the replenishment of fast-selling items to ensure stores always have enough stock on hand.
• Assist in developing new systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the merchandise planning function.
• Train and mentor junior members of the team

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation or buying.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
