We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the roleAVP Data Science, Finance Operations
Principal Responsibilities
- The data science team with the data operation vertical aims to enhance the upstream data quality for downstream finance users of cloud data
- There are multiple aspects that come into play when looking at data quality 1)accuracy, (2) completeness, and (3) reliability of the data at hand, ensuring that downstream finance teams can rely on a robust foundation for their reporting and analytical endeavors. These require extensive data exploration & analysis abilities along with extensive experience in data analytics
- Use of Cloud platform & data for advanced analytics solutions designing, development & deployment of data quality solutions across Data Operations
- Use of tools such as Python/Pyspark, BigQuery, visualization tools to deliver above solutions.
- Map the journey of successful POCs to full scale deployment & production
- Develop best in quality automated data quality checks using advanced AI/ ML techniques & dashboards that feed into downstream modelling & decision making usecases
- Proficient in mathematical/ statistical/ programing concepts
- Liaison with various stakeholders across FCD, IT, other finance teams to design and deploy solutions
- Work within an agile delivery framework
- Keep oneself upto date with latest industry practices within the Cloud, data science & programming arena.
Qualifications - External
- Graduate/ Postgraduate degree with relevant field of 58 years (Finance/Economics/Operation Research/Statistics/Mathematics/ B.Tech/ MBA/ Data Science)
- Certification courses in Data Science/Risk Management or similar areas will be added advantage
- Excellent coding skills in latest statistical packages/apps SAS/R/Python
- Term papers with demonstrated skills set in modelling, forecasting and optimization
- Excellent quantitative aptitude and handson proficiency with analytical tools such as SAS, R, Python
- Highly focused on project delivery, attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaborative, influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, open minded, flexible, pragmatic
- Good estimation and planning skills
- Ability to deal in a multistakeholder relationship in a complex environment
- Able to progress multiple tasks at the same time
- Enthusiastic, displaying energy, drive and stamina
- Willing to work with colleagues in other areas/ time zones where appropriate
- Prior experience in dealing with virtual business partners across the globe
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
