In this role, you will be asked to gather and interpret data requirements, perform research and analysis, as well as to work on data mappings from multiple sources.

Your focus will be on the development and maintenance of the Morningstar Fixed Income Data Model, that encompasses data structures for Fixed Income market data, including price data, terms and condition data and analytics data on bonds and fixed income derivatives as well as fund holdings data.

This position would also be expected to lead key fixed income data and analytics projects within Morningstar, that require partnering with product and other data teams in order to develop the fixed income roadmap at Morningstar.

To this end responsibilities in business analysis, planning and project management will be part of the role.

Responsibilities:

Development and continuous improvement of the Morningstar Fixed Income Data model in collaboration with senior team members.
Liaise between business, implementation, and fixed income teams to develop requirements and specifications for implementation projects relating to Fixed Income data.
Performing database queries and data analysis
Process ownership for data processes from raw data to productive systems
Vendor management for the data sets owned
Be the data steward of Morningstar Fixed Income Data

Requirements:

A minimum of 35 years' work experience in a related field managing Fixed Income Products and Data
SQL skills and exposure to database management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Committed team player
Basic knowledge of fixed income products and their data
Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science
Able to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure during peak seasons
Exhibit flexibility as per business requirement

Nice to have

Experience with data modeling
Python or other programming skills
