Logistics Analyst Supervisor (Roles & Responsibilities)

Responsibility

This position is responsible to investigate disputed or overdue T+L invoices, identify root cause, intervene at the resp. cause/origin and drive resolution in an endtoend fashion.
That includes Coordination with Freight forwarders, 3PL vendors and all involved internal functions/sites for payment related queries
Weekly reporting, tracking of Invoice status & sharing feedback to all stakeholders / vendors.
Identify patterns and develop process improvement initiatives to reduce failures & cycle time
Supervise team of Analysts
Manage 3PL vendor relationship

Success is:

Overdues reduced to zero, disputes resolved within 14 days
Freight Invoices are billed as per contractual/negotiated rate card and in time
Drive team excellence and talent retention
Drive continuous improvement culture

Success Indicators / Qualification:
Curious self-starter ("Detective")

Experience with similar roles and resp. workflows (Investigation/Intervention/Resolution)
Experience in Supervisor / People Manager role
Proven Ability to lead people/team and engage/mentor staffs
Ability to understand freight related documentation, freight invoices, SOAs and logistics industry terminology
Analytical skills to investigate and understand root cause of invoice disputes/payment delays (Investigation), combined with problem solver attitude
Ability to build consensus and influence at all levels across the organization (Intervention)
Demonstrated ability to push for issue resolution in a global, diverse and complex environment, based on influential management (Resolution)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
