Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge & experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Must have strong experience on Database/PostgreSQL tuning, performance optimization and data realignments
Experience with PostgreSQL cloning, backup, restore and recovery, logical backups and
capacity planning
Ability to identify database performance issues and proactively intervene to reduce
downtime. Implement and maintain PostgreSQL database hardening, security standards and
controls
Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of
implemented measures
Good communication skills with positive attitude, problem solving skills, multi-tasking and self
- initiative qualities
Experience with at least one major public cloud implementation (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Experience with automating routine administrative tasks is desired
Prior knowledge and experience on other database platforms is a plus (Oracle, SQL Server, Azure)
