    About our company

    New American Funding (NAF) is a mortgage lender offering an array of loan options. Established in 2003 and headquartered in Tustin, CA, United States, NAF has 3,640 + strong workforce across 190 branches and a servicing portfolio of 247,470+ loans and $65.3 Billion.

    The data services technology team at New American Funding is planning to hire a data engineer who contributes to the data-driven decision-making initiative this team is currently leading. The candidate along with other members of the team will work toward the improvement of current data pipeline. That would include working on initiative like data warehouse, data late, data transformation, visualization, establishing data / information / knowledge service and data analysis.

    We're expecting this candidate to be able to make independent decisions, and use their creativity to solve different problems, and most important of all, have fun with the team here

    Responsibilities

    • Innovate automation solutions, reports, ETL pipelines, and more using Microsoft T-SQL,SSIS, SSRS, Power BI / Tableau.
    • Maintain Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Synonyms, and Triggers
    • Standards to create a user friendly and consistent appearance.
    • Code in Azure DevOps code repository
    • An understanding of business processes, systems, and various data sources to become more effective and efficient with report development.
    • With business users and\or business analysts to understand and develop report requirements.
    • Processes and procedures and recommend improvements to management and other departments within the company to increase productivity and quality.
    • Work with backlog of production support tickets, coordinate all systems enhancements as well as research and test new features of the Loan Servicing platform.
    • In code reviews, debug, or enhance existing code and troubleshoot for issues.
    • With report and table sun-setting and cleanup including bringing legacy reports and tables up to standard.
    • To guidelines and standards
    • To multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities across multiple business users.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in computer science or equivalent
    • Years of experience in building data pipelines and report development (SSRS/Tableau/Power BI)
    • Knowledge in T-SQL, ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
    • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing ETL processes using SSIS.
    • with cloud environment and their services.
    • Analytical skills in working with data.
    • SQL query tuning and performance optimization on complex inefficient queries.
    • hands-on experience in NoSQL databases, Snowflake would be an added advantage.
    • Experience in Python/Py-Spark would be an added advantage.
    • To work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment without daily oversight.
    • Prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent activities while managing user expectations.
