Furniture Layout and Spatial Designer - Greater Bengaluru Area, India - Zyeta

Description

We are seeking a talented Furniture Layout Designer and Spatial Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing layouts for various spaces, considering user experience, ergonomics, functionality, and aesthetics. The incumbent will work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the spatial layout meets the project requirements and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Understand briefs for various projects and suggest team, the furniture layout and conceptualize ideas
• Develop innovative and practical furniture layout design for office spaces, incorporating principles of user experience (UX), ergonomics, and workplace psychology.
• Create detailed spatial plans that optimize space utilization, traffic flow, and functionality.
• Detail the designs of spaces, products/element with respect to scale, anthropometry, material feasibility and budgets
• Recommend furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) selections that align with the design concept and meet client preferences and budgets.
• Constantly research about activity-based furniture's and collaboration typologies and different materials, finishes and designs
• Coordination with vendors and partners to ensure quality and timely execution of projects
• Prepare execution timelines with the project manager and seamlessly coordinate different projects simultaneously.
• Create and maintain a material library by looking for new materials and securing samples.

What We Expect:

• Postgraduate degree from reputed international universities in furniture, product, or industrial design
• Minimum 3 years of experience in furniture layout and spatial design
• Understanding of form, aesthetics, color, and materials to capture the project and design it well
• Ability to work under pressure situations and handle tricky problems
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and across multiple projects
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
