In This Role, Responsibilities May Include

  • Mentor team of experienced and junior Analog IC design engineers
  • Lead an Analog IC design team with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturing
  • Make assignments for team members, providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project
  • Evaluate intermediate and final results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives
  • Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout
  • Collaborate with Design Verification teams during the prePG phase of a project to ensure completion of all technical tasks before PG
  • Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
  • Lead, motivate, provide training, and create career growth opportunities for the team
  • Collaborate with overseas design and systems teams on technical aspects, IP development, sharing of knowhow
  • Provide technical leadership in defining new architecture and driving architecture design and circuit design based on highlevel specifications
  • Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixedsignal designs and control loops
  • Manage project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 14 years of experience, or MS + 12 years of experience

Qualification

  • Solid track record of releasing complex ICs to market
  • Experience in releasing complex IPs/ICs to market
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies
  • Goal and outcomefocused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team
  • Ability to attract and retain key engineering talent
  • Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of management
  • Solid understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gmstage and relevant Analog building blocks
  • Solid understanding of topologies and architectures for Constantontime, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode, Multi-Phase Controllers, and Smart Power Stages
  • Good understanding of DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC devices and drivers
  • Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
  • Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance
- understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness

  • Proficiency in leadingedge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tapeout
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
