    Description


    We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior MySQL Database Administrator to join our growing team in Mumbai As a key member of the IT department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our critical MySQL databases.


    Responsibilities :

    • Design, implement, and manage complex MySQL database structures.
    • Provision and configure MySQL instances in both clustered and non-clustered environments.
    • Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource utilization analysis.
    • Implement and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for MySQL databases.
    • Perform regular backups and recoveries to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
    • Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages like Python or shell scripting.
    • Monitor database health and performance using industry-standard tools and identify potential issues proactively.
    • Implement and enforce strict security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
    • Manage user access controls and permissions for the databases.
    • Collaborate with application developers and other IT professionals to troubleshoot database-related issues.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in MySQL database administration.
    • Document database design, configuration, and procedures.

    Qualifications :

    • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Senior MySQL Database Administrator or similar role.
    • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex MySQL databases.
    • In-depth knowledge of MySQL query optimization techniques and performance tuning.
    • Strong understanding of database security best practices and access control mechanisms.
    • Experience with database automation scripting (e.g., Python, shell scripting).
    • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation for MySQL databases.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • A passion for learning and staying current with the latest advancements in MySQL technology.
