    We are looking for an Operations Engineer with Level 2 experience in offering technical support across all of Byte's Managed Services accounts. This includes but is not limited to event management, patch management, backup management, resolving tickets etc.

    More about the role

    • Execute routine BAU activities per service catalogue and not limited to items in the scope of services.
    • Patch management - ensure all managed devices have the latest available patches including security, vulnerability etc.
    • Backup management - ensure backups are valid and running without any issues with schedule image verification and test/restore tasks.
    • Action events raised by the toolset.
    • Execute an initial investigation on every ticket.
    • Action basic root cause analysis - undertaking problem management to investigate the root causes of incidents for proactive prevention of problems.
    • Participating in a rotating on call roster.
    • Available to work on rotational shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.

    About you

    You are passionate about exceeding customer expectations. Have an ability to articulate technical information in a user-friendly manner with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.

    • ITIL Foundation Certificate
    • Tertiary qualifications in an IT or related discipline
    • Minimum 2 years' experience within a Managed Services environment, supporting multiple customers.
    • Experience troubleshooting various storage and back up technologies.
    • Windows Desktop and Server and network infrastructure
    • Experience with Security and AntiVirus applications
    • Experience with Microsoft cloud environment (Azure)
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM, WSUS, HyperV
    • Experience in networking, especially with PaloAlto Firewalls, Cisco Meraki, and Azure Network, will be strongly preferred.
