Description

1. Executing the production planning given by moulding.

To refer work order prior to the heat.
Prepare the charge calculation as per the heat plan.
Ensure the availability of raw materials as per the charge calculation.
Monitor the condition of furnace as well as ladle before and after each heat.
Supervise and ensure the materials are charged properly without bridge formation during melting.
Supervise and monitor power raising sequence.
To arrange the bath sample to get tested at 80% of the melt; inform the ladle operator to preheat the ladle and ensure the correct per-heating temperature.
Verification of bath sample test report; addition ferro alloys as per calculation/requirement.
To add the known chemistry scraps/returns, raise the power and send final sample for testing.
To inform ladle team take ladle.
Ensure the final chemistry and temperature; pour the metal in to the preheated ladle along with the specified DE-oxidants as per work instruction.
Ensure required liquid metal is available in the ladle before pouring.
Ensure both ladle and pouring temperatures are as per the work instruction
Monitor and ensure the proper centering of pouring cup.
To co-ordinate with moulding supervisor to ensure the ladle is taken to the correct mould and ensure the mould is closed and ready for pouring before the ladle is set.
Ensure the ladle is cleaned properly.(co2,mass ladle )
Timely completion of melting log sheet and system entry.
Raising store indent, receipt daily basis.
Ensure the workmen are using appropriate PPEs.
Maintain good housekeeping and SAFETY in the working area.
