Within BT Finance we are part-way through our Finance Transformation programme to transform our systems, operating models, ways of working and capabilities for Finance to ensure we're fit for the future in a competitive market.

We are entering a pivotal time for our new BT strategy and Finance will be playing a critical role.

The role holder will business partner the Directors and their teams across the Finance, Security, Transformation and Design units within Digital Corporate. The role holder will lead all aspects of the financials including managing a total cost base of £45m across Capex and Opex and leading on transformation and efficiency programmes across this cost base.

What you'll be doing

End to end responsibility for a combined cost budget of c.£45m including planning and forecasting, tracking financial reporting month end activities
Lead financial relationship holder and commercial lead for Directors supporting Finance, Security, Transformation and Design units.
Playing a key role on driving the financials for the subcon efficiencies & app run/dev cost base
Manage the run cost build for the IT estate, working closely with Procurement to drive savings.
Creation of investment cases for Transformation program for for Digital Investment Board and BT Investment Board.
Provide cost reporting and insight on IT system transformation programs delivered by Digital Corporate.

The skills you need

Proven ability to influence and build key relationships with senior stakeholders
Comfortable working in an ambiguous and often changing environment where you need to be able to synthesise complex problems to find a simple solution
Fully qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or exceptionally equivalent experience
Experience across a wide range of finance disciplines desirable
Excellent knowledge of BT & EE's finance, procurement and operational systems and processes
Experience of financial management and delivery of improved financial performance
