Location:
Bangalore - Hybrid [Work from office - 2 days a week - Flexible but primarily based in Bangalore]
The organisation provides institutions in low
- and middle-income countries with affordable online access to academic and professional peer-reviewed content. To further our mission and expand our reach, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Research and Prospecting:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources, including foundations, funding bodies, corporates, major donors, and other relevant funders.
Utilise various resources and databases to gather information on prospective funders and assess their alignment with the organisation's mission and values.
Profile Development:
Create detailed profiles of potential funders, including their funding priorities, areas of interest, giving history, and decision-making processes. Develop a comprehensive understanding of each funder's requirements and preferences to tailor fundraising strategies and approaches accordingly.
Fundraising Strategy:
Collaborate with the principal consultant to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies aligned with the organizational goals. Provide recommendations on fundraising approaches, timelines, and target amounts to maximise donor engagement and support.
Outreach and Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential funders through effective communication, personalised engagement, and regular updates on the organisation's activities and impact.
Cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and donors.Networking and Collaboration:
Actively participate in relevant fundraising networks, conferences, and events to expand the organization's reach, build strategic partnerships, and stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in the fundraising field.
