Job Summary

Reporting to the Foundry Melt Superintendent, the Supervisor will work a 3 shift working pattern with a team of hourly paid employees to ensure production targets are met and carried out in a timely and controlled manner with a high regard to health and safety, production quality and the production schedule.

The Foundry Melt Supervisor is responsible for the quantities of molten metal to a high specification in line with the Foundry daily and weekly casting programme whilst managing a team of Furnaceman and Ladlemen.


Responsibilities and Duties
To assess and oversee furnace/ladle repairsTo have quality control of molten metal in accordance with laid down technical specificationsResponsible for all aspects of health and safety for all activitiesCarry out risk assessments and complete standard operating proceduresTo understand Company policies and proceduresSupervisor manpower, manage and motivate team of operatorsMeasurement and assessment of cycle time achievementProducing reports for Senior ManagementProject improvement workCarry out employee appraisals, reviews, disciplinary, grievance and absence management casesMonitor performance of team, coach and support where performance is not at required standardTo assist in recruitment of team members, identify manpower requirement and assist in redeployment where resource is requiredIdentify training needs and organise the delivery of on the job skills and safety trainingTo complete shift paperworkTo operate within the departments budgeted expensesEnsuring best manufacturing practices are maintained and continuously improvedTo assist with production as necessaryCoordinate production start-ups, shutdowns and changeoversEnsure that all hygiene, health and safety regulations are being observed by staffTo carry out any reasonable request as directed by the Foundry Superintendent and Foundry Manager

Key Skills
Excellent team work and communication skills, Strong health and safety awareness is required, Have drive and enthusiasm and have a flexible and positive approach to team working and factory improvement initiatives, Have the ability to use initiative and judgement to make decisions and solve problems which at times can be complex, Be able to work mainly unsupervised and manage own time effectively

Required Experience and Qualifications
2 Yrs of Experience in Foundry Field
Under Graduate

Salary:
₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
