Role and Responsibilities

  • This position must be able to handle multiple tasks. This demands excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Work cross functionally with department leads to define best practices and governance policies for the LMS; Inspecting/enforcing use of standards
  • Define and assign user permissions with appropriate (and restricted) permission levels
  • Drive integration of LMS to several other tools (SFDC, Workday, etc.)
  • Assist IT (and other teams) when integrations with the LMS are necessary
  • Mediate between stakeholders and the LMS vendor when we have issues with the LMS (e.g., our LMS instance is having performance problems, and we have to coordinate with the vendor support team)
  • Optimize functionality and make recommendations on how to utilize features to streamline work make things work better
  • Manage LMS related support tickets, processes and SLAs.
  • Create Learning Plans, ILT's, upload SCORM/AICC Content as per the training need & requirement. Edit & update elearning modules in the system.
  • Support client & internal user issues related to LMS, ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle login & new user registration requests in LMS.
  • Review elearning content & maintain accurate records related to user training data.
  • Assign user permissions, create and manage user groups, enrollment rules, notifications and course enrollment.
  • Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve LMSrelated system issues. Help to identify and prevent problems before they occur.
  • Establish standard reports and dashboards that are accurate and timely and enable managers, training team, and other internal stakeholders to determine training effectiveness.
  • Based on reporting, recommend adjustments to learning content management, workflow processes, and user experience that would improve the learner experience and business impact.
  • Download, share & publish training data reports from LMS, Salesforce & other internal reporting systems.
  • Work together with the LMS team on daily transactional & project related requests.
  • Ensure compliance with process, technology, and data requirements according to system governance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of learning data for adherence to standards, consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Ensure functionality of the LMS in the areas of registration, notification, administration of training operations, assessment and resource management.
  • Develop, configure, and manage learning paths or training modules based on product use, job function, and other requirements; these may include activities, training courses, certifications, assessments, articles & videos.
  • Work on special projects as requested, which might require making inroads wherever required to collect data, opinions, understanding current scenarios, data mining, estimation & presentation of facts, etc.
  • Documents, and establishes Governance for our LMS platform, including related policies and procedures
  • Responsible for managing the life cycle of content (i.e., uploading, updating, expiring, etc.) in accordance with established data integrity, rules, and LMS Enrollment processes for each of the functional business units
  • Works with LMS providers to remain up to date on system specifications and updates
  • Maintains training library content, relevant workflows, whilst evaluating course usage and monitoring completion
  • Sources professional licensed elearning content for our LMS
  • Troubleshoots and makes decisions to handle LMS issues, including report requests, and other complex issues

Skills Required:


  • Experience in LMS systems.
  • Understand requirements needed for LMS as it relates to eLearning, ILT, and certifications.
  • Should have familiarity with LMS technical integration (SSO, LTI, payment gateway integration, etc.)
  • Strong track record for taking datadriven actions.
  • The role requires great Planning skills, the ability to find solutions to problems, juggle multiple requests, and identify ways to drive efficiently.
  • Anticipating and planning for changes, and the ability to stay organized while helping L&D management and Trainers are critical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Interaction involves regular communication requiring interpretation, persuasion, and discretionary skills.
  • Structured Thinking and Presentation comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to provide structure and frame thinking logically and effectively.
  • Ability to drive consensus and Able to effectively deal with conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize amongst various tasks in a deadline driven environment.
  • Dependable, selfmotivated, takes ownership and initiative, collaborative.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality with exceptional organization skills.
  • Good experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, analysis and reporting
