Description

• Identifying and resolving customer disputes and queries related to invoices and payments
• Maintaining accurate and uptodate records of customer accounts and debt recovery activities
• Collaborating with internal departments, such as sales and finance, to resolve customer issues and improve debt recovery processes
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, such as debt aging and recovery rates
• Identifying and escalating highrisk accounts to the Collections Manager for further action
• Maintaining a professional and customerfocused approach at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance or related field is a plus
• Proven experience as a debt collector or similar role in a steel business or related industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and identify trends and patterns
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt recovery and collections in the steel business or related industry
