The Microfluidics and Heat Transfer Lab (MfHTL), within Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Dept. of Physics, invites motivated applicants for applied computational fluid dynamics for biomedical flow systems.

  • Recent advances in imagebased computational fluid dynamics
  • Have enabled detailed study of hemodynamics in the heart and major blood vessels for patients with cardiovascular diseases and aneurysms. Such studies can offer key insights into disease progression and subsequent sitespecific drug delivery.

Preferred qualifications include experiences:

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering and/or Physics.
- programming languages (Matlab, Python etc.)
- experimental/theoretical/computational fluid mechanics
- commercial CFD software COMSOL (preferred) and Fluent.
- commercial CAD software
