Introduction:

The hiring team are responsible for building the strategic R&A Wholesale Credit Risk platform used for internal risk management and regulatory reporting across Barclays International.

The team is focusing on a commitment within Project Eagle to submit credit PD and LGD models to the regulator in Q4 17 and Q1 18.

What will you be doing?

To develop and review test code and contribute to creation of testing strategies to validate largescale software development and deployments.
Developing Test artefacts like Test Strategy, Exit Document, Test Cases, etc and performing manual testing where ever required.
Pair/Partner with developers to embed quality into product development by reviewing unit and integration tests.
Contribute to development of automation strategies and implement the same for right ratio of unit, API and GUI tests
Creation/Automation of test data and test harnesses
Good understanding of banking domain and Testing principles in various delivery models (Agile)
Analysis design and implementation of test solutions to fit the business requirements
Is capable of effective stakeholder management, supporting business for making informed decisions based on test results, possess good analytical skills
Working with BAs and Team Leads to understand the functional scope of project work, questioning decisions and collaborating with endusers to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis.
Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off.
Implement and test technical solutions from specifications to both new and existing systems.
Involvement in peer reviews with more senior team members in order to provide constructive feedback
Liaising with a delivery team to provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases
Perform regression testing.
Following established process and practices with regards to audit controls.
Providing oncall support for releases.

Skills that will help you in the role:

A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred.
IB experience advantageous but not a prerequisite.
8+ years of total work experience in a relevant IT industry.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams
Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools
Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains
Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture
Should have excellent conflict management skills and generate trust and respect in team
Good at art of questioning and critical thinking
Hands on experience on writing Code / Automated Tests, understand overall automation framework and contribute to framework building/ maintenance
Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented Programming and demonstrate proficiencies in Java, HTML, CSS
Hands on experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS package creation, Teradata and ETL/DB Testing.
Hands on experience in Quality function including execution of manual and automated tests
Contribute towards creating Test Plan/ Test Strategy/ Schedule with TM
Monitor team progress on test plan. Monitor daily tasks and report on them
Communicate with stakeholders on project status and metrics
Assist TM in operational t
