    Job Description:

    key Areas of Responsibility for this role:

    • Collaborate with the Product Design team to conceptualize and develop sketches, models, tech packs, CAD, and prototypes for a varied range of consumer products.
    • Participate in industry/market research and discovery across all categories.
    • Conduct on-the-fly market, user, materials, and usability research as needed.
    • Integrate user feedback, ergonomic considerations, and market trends into innovative design solutions.
    • Work alongside Sourcing and Engineering teams to validate design feasibility and select appropriate materials.
    • Stay abreast of contemporary design trends, materials, and technologies, ensuring our products remain competitive and resonate with users.
    • Partner with marketing and sales teams, imparting design perspectives for promotional materials. Participation in concept exploration and generation across all categories.
    • Participate in packaging design projects as needed.
    • Ability to work on mock-ups and prototypes as needed.
    • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and present to cross-functional groups.
    • Ability to work self-directed, and take ownership of your workflow.
    • Ability to lead design team on projects and provide creative direction.
    • Support and aid the full concept and design process across all categories
    • You will work with Designers, Design Engineers, Brand Managers, Graphic Designers, Operations Associates, Sourcing, Compliance, and our overseas manufacturing partners.

    Minimum Requirements for Applying:

    • Hold a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
    • 6-10 years working in Industrial Design for consumer products, with a portfolio demonstrating a strong command in both hard and soft goods.
    • At least 5 years' experience working in Solidworks.
    • Experience in CAD design for 3D printing and manufacturing
    • Experience leading projects from initial discovery through production on a high level
    • Experience interacting with vendors both domestic and overseas
    • Ability to move from concept to final quickly.
    • Proficiency with Adobe CC.
    • Proficient in sketch-concepting.
    • Ability to create realistic renderings.
    • Possess a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes coupled with a keen eye for ergonomics.
    • Display exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate concepts and present to cross-functional groups.
    • Ability to manage diverse design projects concurrently, consistently delivering on quality and timelines.
    • Detail-oriented, with an unyielding commitment to design perfection and innovation.
    • Experience guiding or leading other designers through a project (need not be direct reports).
    • Experience with a plus.
