    Role Description


The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring a team lives agile values and principles and follows the agreed processes and practices to allow the team to continually improve their performance.

The Scrum Master leads from a position of influence, taking a servant-leadership stance i.e., demonstrates a leadership philosophy in which the main goal of the leader is to serve.

Responsibilities include proactively removing blockers to team success, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

The Scrum Master also acts to ensure a good relationship between the team and Product Owner as well as others outside the team, facilitating meetings and Scrum events, and working with the Product Owner to make sure the upcoming book of work (backlog) is sufficiently defined and ready for the creation of the next product increment (sprint).

Your key responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives and daily standups.
  • Face of between the development team and product owner group
  • Keep the status and progress of stories up to date in JIRA
  • Produce sprint and release progress / status reports as required for senior stakeholders, project working groups and steering committees
  • Maintain Risk and Issues logs and work with the product owner group to feed in new stories that arise from issues or risks into the product backlog
  • Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum. SAFe would be desirable.
  • Promote and coach healthy communication in and around the team
  • Foster cross team communication and guide continuous backlog refinement with the team.
  • Foster an agile culture and build a strong and cohesive team dynamic
  • Foster trust and collaboration across all team members; make it safe to challenge, experiment and fail without fear
  • Foster continuous collaboration; continuously collaborate and communicate across all functions supporting agile team execution
  • Promote continuous improvement at the team level for all functions

Your skills and experience

  • At least 10 years of experience working in Information Technology with 5 years working as a Scrum Master (certified)
  • Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum. SAFe would be desirable.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, TFS, Confluence, and GIT
  • Good analytical and communication skills, strong independence and initiative, ability to work in agile delivery teams
  • A passion for constantly learning in a constantly evolving environment
  • Project Management knowledge and experience would be an advantage
  • Should possess Strategic thinking, passion for driving solutions, generating big pictures
  • Selfmotivated, proactive with ability to work in fast paced environment and under pressure
  • Should be able to challenge/convince/adaptive in approach, if required
  • Good team player over different geographies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • We are looking for great Technologists first. Useful but not essential would be knowledge gained in Third Party Risk Assessments domain

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)
