  • The GTRF Offboarding Team is based in Bangalore and is part of the wider Chief Control Office within HSBC Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF).
  • GTRF is responsible for core trade services, receivables finance, supply chain, commodity and structured trade finance and forfaiting businesses across the Group. It serves as a core service provider for Commercial (CMB) and Global Banking (GBM) customers.
  • The Offboarding team is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of client exit execution for both CMB and GBM clients.

The Opportunity:


This is a AVP GTRF Offboarding role.
The job accountabilities of this role are:


  • The GCB5 Assistant Vice President Product Risk role is based within the HSBC Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) Product Risk Centre of Excellence.
  • Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) is a key strategic business for the HSBC Group within Commercial Banking with almost 150 years of history. It is the largest international trade bank, with an unrivalled global presence and access to over 90 per cent of the world's global capital flows. GTRF provides trade finance and risk mitigation solutions to customers all over the world, from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through to large corporates and multinationals. GTRF's key product lines include Core Trade Services, Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Trade Loans, Commodity Trade Finance and Portfolio Management & Distribution.

What you'll do:


  • Ensure processing of GTRF exits received from CMB & GBM CSEM teams which includes checking of customer's GTRF footprint and/or outstanding GTRF exposures and other data attributes
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders in order to ensure smooth exit execution process and provide timely responses to queries raised to the Off boarding generic mailbox
  • Production of various MI/Control reports related to GTRF Exits process (including account closure reconciliation), Network Bank Exposure report and dashboards and Trade only RMA dashboards and other adhoc MI requests.
  • Help maintain a robust and efficient control environment across GTRF to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise
  • Manage the Read Across Process for GTRF Globally, ensuring that control weaknesses, and both audit and management identified issues are reviewed for global applicability and remediating actions are taken where appropriate.
  • Identify and share risk management best practice across other teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively challenging practices / controls operated by offshore functions, identifying gaps, and making recommendations where the process can be improved
Requirements


What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Strong GTRF Product or GTRF Services Knowledge.
  • Sound and indepth knowledge of the operational risk & control environment and disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills especially with regards to understanding business risk, processes, procedures and operational controls
  • Ability to process high volumes of data (using MS Excel/Access, VBA and SQL), identify key issues and impacts and present critical information to senior decision makers
  • Ability to create/maintain Macros and knowledge of VB and Coding will be an added advantage
  • A successful track record of delivering complex projects or programmes, utilising appropriate techniques and tools (MS Access/Excel/VBA) to ensure and measure success
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring team members.
  • Process improvement and change management.
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
  • Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality.
  • Good interpersonal skills required, with an ability to collaborate with colleagues across segments and geographies being essential.
