Position Summary This position is responsible for preparation of data for budgeting, finalization of accounts and preparation and processing of items such as purchase orders, invoices, etc.

This position provides support to the support staff by carrying out the routine operational and documentation related activities under Finance and Accounting Key Accountabilities Finance and Accounts FunctionsTo ensure that finance department functions effectively and smoothly to provide high quality services to MasoomTo develop appropriate financial systems and implement them effectivelyTo ensure that budgets and financial reports as necessary are prepared and submitted on time.

Manage day to day accounting of grants, donations, disbursements and payments.
Cash management and investment planning to ensure a balance between liquidity and investment income.
Timely payment of staff remuneration, related TDS and filing of relevant statutory returns.
Keeping the Financial Policy manual up-to-date in accordance with organisational process and audit requirements.
Basic legal matters relating to the organisation like preparing agreements, Registrar of company's requirements etc.

Manage the organization's investments and corpus funds Budgets, Financial Reports and AuditsTo ensure that financial audit is carried out as per need in a timely fashionUnderstanding the financial needs of the Organization and working with the management team to draw a realistic budgetCreate cash flow and financial statement periodically for management understandingCreate Variance analysis report on periodical basis and update CEO on the variance periodically JOB DESCRIPTION 2Liaise with statutory auditors and ensure all internal and statutory audits are conducted in time and as per legal requirementsManaging Income-Tax, Charity Commissioner and other compliances ReportingRetrieve and summarize data for reporting to various donor organizationsCalculate program utilization and efficiency ratiosDonor reporting on fund utilizationEnsure timely financial reporting to the CEO, Board of trustees and all stakeholders.

Departmental SupportEnsure all HR related activities are in coordination with the budgeted normsEnsure smooth functioning of the office, keeping in mind the operation budgetsTo liaise with the government departments on matters pertaining to the organizationSupervise and guide the work of the Finance and Accounts team and provide with timely feedbackConduct performance evaluation of the finance and accounts team as and when need be.

Work timing 09:15 am to 6 pm Work Location Mumbai Education and Work ExperienceGraduate degree / Post Graduate in Commerce with business administration/finance management.

Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in the finance management and administration. Experience in development sector preferredKnowledge of FCRA and related issues desirable.
Expertise in financial administration and management. SkillsKnowledge of Tally is a mustWillingness to work towards social sectorExcellent communication and drafting skills.
Ability to work as a member of a diverse team.
Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing situations. Able to multi-task and prioritize while performing a variety of tasks with mínimal direction.
Ability to self-initiate, problem solve, make decisions independently and to know when to seek additional guidance.
Willingness and flexibility to move seamlessly from role to role depending on the context.
