    Join the DFM Firmware Team at Pure Storage, where you'll play a vital role in designing and developing the Direct Flash Module (DFM) – a key component of Pure's Flasharray and Flashblade storage solutions. The DFM sets itself apart with its simplicity, high performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability compared to traditional SSDs.

    As a member of the DFM firmware team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, from NAND media management to low-level hardware interfaces. Our unique firmware design allows us to integrate the latest NAND advancements quickly, positioning Pure as a leader in the industry.

    Working closely with various teams, you'll gain insights into the latest technologies, such as NAND, NVMe/PCIe, and SSD controllers. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in embedded software design and system integration.

    What You Will Be Doing

    We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:

    • Designing, implementing, and testing firmware for Pure Storage's DirectFlashTM SSD Modules
    • Programming and testing using C/C++ and Python
    • Integrating new hardware components and developing low-level firmware features
    • Creating firmware simulation environments and troubleshooting issues
    • Automating development processes, including continuous integration and testing
    • Collaborating with hardware and software teams

    What You Bring to the Team

    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
    • Solid understanding of software/firmware testing and release procedures
    • Experience in Nand, Flash, or SSD Device Firmware Development
    • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages
    • Knowledge of embedded software development
    • Experience with Micro-controllers, SoC, or hardware bring-up
    • Effective verbal communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to thrive in a team-based work environment

    This role is based in Bangalore, India, and requires you to be present in the office three days a week in line with Pure's Hybrid Work Policy.
