Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct regular audits of financial, accounting, payroll, and inventory records following the audit plan
Report audit findings to stakeholders and follow up on corrective actions
Evaluate internal controls, identify loopholes, and provide recommendations
Collaborate with external advisors and auditors
Verify statutory compliances, reconcile returns with accounts, and address any discrepancies
Review reconciliation statements, identify gaps, and communicate effectively
Perform routine stock audits, address discrepancies, and take necessary actions
Monthly review of trial balance and recommend corrective measures
Assess processes, identify gaps, and communicate with task owners
Provide suggestions for cost reduction initiatives

b. Proficient in ERP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint

c. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

d. Independent, analytical, and a team player

e. Knowledge of statutory legislation including Income Tax, GST, and labour laws

f. Ability to engage with senior-level business team effectively

g. Audit field experience, preferably in retail

h. Familiarity with best practices in accounting, processes, and internal controls

i. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
