Job Description:

This position is a senior Oracle and Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) in a centralized database administration team which provides 7x24 support in non-prod and prod environments.

The DBA is mainly responsible for maintaining highly visible production databases.

Responsibilities include designing installing upgrading patching tuning monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data (Terabytes) and high transaction rates (4000 tps).

Capacity planning sql analysis schema revisions security administration and user account maintenance are also required tasks. Immediate participation in an active on call rotation required. Candidate must be capable of providing off hours support to avoid impacting database availability during normal business hours.

Top 3 requirements:

1) Database Availability & Stability Maintaining highly visible production databases and ensuring stability by designing installing upgrading patching tuning monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data (Terabytes) and high transaction rates (4000 tps).

Support IT initiatives through sql analysis schema revisions and capacity forecasting Homogenize the performance of the database and optimize system resources Support efforts related to the proper protection from corruption & encryption of sensitive information Validate that programs are operating on clean correct and useful data 3) Enhance and Apply Technical Product Knowledge Understand a given solution to assess its alignment with business needs particularly with the new DevOps framework.

Keep abreast of emerging industry trends to continuously update operations and assess how competition differs from current state Communicate the business value of technical solutions Discover mutually beneficial solutions across customers while recognizing different styles Required Skills:
Needs a minimum of 3 years with Oracle databases requiring the following skills:
