Responsibilities and Skills Required**:
- Understandthe project requirements and deliverables from manager as specified by theclient.
- Understandthe reaction protocol and search literature as required.
- Efficientlydelegate work and monitor team members for effective planning, execution, anddelivery.
- Understandand discuss the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) with team members.
- Identifyand mitigate any potential safety risk with the help of supervisor.
- Planand execute reactions with proper reagents and equipment (glassware, stirrers,vacuum pumps etc.) maintaining specified conditions (temperature, pressureetc.), with optimum usage and minimum wastage.
- Ensureparallel execution of multiple reactions.
- Monitorthe reaction by observing progress by using analytical techniques.
- Identifyand execute appropriate workup and purification technique to produce anintermediary / final compound of desired quality.
- Analyze analyticaldata, evaluate, and interpret results from the synthesis and report.
- Meetproductivity benchmarks on amount of reactions / reactions/ amount of steps /number of compounds / quality / compounds purity / project timelines.
- Supportproject manager in finalizing the estimation of the project by identifyingrelevant literature, proposing appropriate synthetic route/ reaction design andby assessing project risks and challenges.
- Prepareweekly / monthly/ final reports as required.
- Documentreactions executed, research findings/observations accurately in lab notebooksas per client requirements to ensure data integrity.
- Maintainstrict IP confidentiality and adhere to all related policies
- Toprepare final reports as required
- Identifyand report noncompliance of LNB guidelines update by junior team members.
- Improveknowledge of organic chemistry (particularly synthesis) / Analytical techniquesetc. through ono on one discussion with supervisor/ regular classroomtrainings/ project trainings/ further education programs etc.
- Guidinga team of chemists to meet productivity/ quality targets.
- Trainand develop team members, regularly review their performance
- Knowledgeof Chemistry & Execution
- Knowledgeof Safety Protocols.
- Knowledgeof IP & Confidentiality and Data Integrity.
- Abilityto conduct cost benefit analysis and optimum usage of resources.
