Introduction
As a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients' success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services.

This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Server & Storage Engineer, you will be placed at customer location and will have to demonstrate expertise in Wintel domain area.

You will also be involved in deploying, configuring, troubleshooting and operational maintenance of Server & Storage Products.

Responsibilities:

You will be providing field & onsite residence support services for High End Storage Systems, attached Storage, SAN devices for Break-Fix calls
New Implementations for MA and Warranty customers including IBM Internal customers in the Region
You should provide support for Storage Hardware, Copy Services, Replication Technology, DR Drill support and other critical customers
You should lead role for Storage Systems supports and handle all the complex Implementations independently

- should have good Working Knowledge of SAN, External Storage, RAID concepts.

Must have administration skills of various storage operations like Storage allocation,
Daily healthcheck of storage health, Diagnosis of basic storage issues, Performance data collection and monitoring.
Working knowledge of Various Copy services are added qualification

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in maintenance and Break fix of IBM storage systems.

- should have good Working Knowledge of SAN, External Storage, RAID concepts.

Administration skills of various storage operations like Storage allocation, Daily healthcheck of storage health, Diagnosis of basic storage issues, Performance data collection and monitoring.
Working knowledge of Various Copy services are added qualification
Knowledge of IBM midrange and Enterprise storages
Experience and Expertise of administration tasks pertain to SAN and external storages
Proven experience on performance monitoring and system healthcheck monitoring
L1 troubleshooting of storage hardware issues and replacement of parts ( breakfix)
Exposure of various copy services and Storage replications

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience on Multivendor Storage like HP EVA, MSA, 3 PAR and XPE24000, EMC & DELL are preferred
Knowledge of Host configuration and Server attachment and multipathing Configuration
Storage and SAN switches User Administration
Experience of Storage data backup and restores Technology
