About the Position

  • The research intern will report to our APAC healthcare research team and work with our APAC analysts. They will have the opportunity to provide research, analysis, and forecasts to senior executives at large multinational corporations as part of the APAC research team's ongoing content production. Tasks will include collecting and analyzing healthcare systems data, providing ongoing media monitoring for key markets, as well as putting together written materials, PowerPoint slides, and other information to support client deliverables or analysis by the APAC research team. One of the major focus areas of the internship will be trend analysis of major private providers, such as hospital groups and diagnostic chains, in India and Southeast Asia, with insights targeted at international decision makers operating in these markets.

About FrontierView's Global Research Team

  • The intern will be part of FrontierView's global research team. The global research team produces all syndicated content for FrontierView's client base of several thousand senior executives at multinational organizations. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. They work in close collaboration with the commercial team in supporting FrontierView's growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.

About You

  • We're looking for a researcher with strong qualitative and quantitative skills, and an interest in learning more about the private and public sector dynamics of India's healthcare market, as well as those of Southeast Asian markets (e.g. Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines). Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to quickly find and organize relevant information are key for this position. Qualified individuals looking to get experience in private sector focused research are encouraged to apply.

What To Expect in This Position:

  • Monitoring and analyzing policy and market trends in the healthcare market
  • Tracking national and subnational health policies in India, including regulation on market approval, price controls, healthcare funding allocation, and other adhoc policy updates
  • Gather and update data on major private providers (e.g., hospitals, diagnostic chains, retail pharmacies) in India and Southeast Asia
  • Draft biweekly healthcare newsletter with local news sources
  • Depending on location and preference, conducting primary research, interviews with local stakeholders, including pharmacies, physicians, and other relevant parties
  • Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive audience, and shadowing research presentations to clients

What Sets You Apart:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of health policies through prior experience or relevant coursework
  • Good communication, organization, discipline, sense of urgency and commitment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Superb time and project management skills; experience in working on multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including unfamiliar ones
  • Fluency in English required
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work independently
