Title: Head of Cloud Platform Architecture

About the Role:

As the Head of Cloud Platform Architecture, focusing primarily on Azure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud architecture strategy and ensuring its alignment with the broader business objectives. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our Azure cloud environments, driving innovation and ensuring technical excellence across all cloud operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute Azure-focused cloud platform strategy aligned with business goals.

· Evaluate and integrate Azure technologies to enhance cloud services.

· Design scalable, secure Azure cloud architectures optimized for performance and cost.

· Lead and mentor cloud architects, fostering technical excellence.

· Drive team development in Azure technologies and best practices.

· Stay updated on Azure developments and experiment with new solutions.

· Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of Azure infrastructures.

· Oversee application deployment on Azure, ensuring compliance.

· Collaborate with business units to deliver Azure cloud solutions.

· Communicate cloud architecture decisions effectively across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· A strong background in software development and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

· Experience with implementing and managing DevOps practices on Azure.

· Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data security standards relevant to Azure.

Certifications:

· Professional certifications in Azure architecture, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Experience:

· Minimum of 10 years in technology with a focus on cloud computing, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure architecture and cloud solution design.

· Demonstrated experience leading cloud transformation projects with a strategic leadership role in architecture.

Competencies:

· Deep expertise in Azure services and architecture, including but not limited to Azure Compute, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.

· Strong ability to design and implement enterprise-level cloud architecture.

· Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of technical professionals.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to drive complex projects to completion.

· Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical partners.
