We also have extensive on-the-ground teams in Malawi and Zambia and are rapidly expanding into other Sub-Saharan African countries and across South-East Asia.


The Role:

Building on over a decade of operational activities, and more than two decades of carbon markets experience, CQC is scaling its investment programs to match the increasing need for climate mitigation and carbon offsets for sovereigns, corporates and consumers.

The Company has recently been funded and is looking to enter into new asset classes as well as invest further into current businesses.


In order to facilitate the expanded engagement, the Company is now looking to recruit an Investment Associate to support the team across all stages of the investment cycle.

This is a new role, based in New Delhi, India, and will report to the Chief of Staff whilst working closely with other teams across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
The Investment Associate will work closely with the Investment Managers and will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Investment Analysis & Planning_
  • Evaluate investment opportunities on an asneeded basis.
  • Prepare financial models and risk analysis for new capital investment opportunities in climate finance projects.
  • Support the formulation of budgetary options for funding new investment opportunities and projects, including different capital structures.
  • Financial investigations and preparation of reports for capital financing.
  • Investment Proposals_
  • Prepare Investment Teasers /Proposals, Management PowerPoint presentations as needed by the Management.
  • Investment Due Diligence & Compliance_
  • Work with the inhouse legal team, establish the Virtual Data Room for the management of a transaction's due diligence process.
  • Provide the information required to conduct due diligence.
  • Investment Completion & Financial Reporting_
  • Ongoing management of the financial model to report actual and forecast performance.
  • Preparing quarterly updates as needed.
  • Analysis on investment projects, the portfolio, and any other relevant internal accounting/financial issues required including taxation, accounting policies, records, financial statements and statutory compliance.
  • At least eight (8) years of relevant professional accounting/financial analyst experience in investment banking or management consulting, valuations or modelling team at the Big 4;
  • Advanced level of financial modelling. Experience with producing complex financial models for external stakeholders is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word for the production of financial models, and Management Presentations.
  • Ability to work under pressure to produce accurate and presentable presentations as needed.
  • Good numerical skills, ability to selfmanage day to day activities, attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to work well remotely and collaborate with international team members.
  • An ability to fit in with the highperformance and collaborative culture of CQC.
  • An interest in the challenges that climate change presents and the role that carbon markets can play to address it.
  • An interest to actively engage in climate change mitigation, the global energy transition less developed countries in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
