Job Description of Machine Shop Supervisor (HOD)


The concerned person shall be responsible for Machine shop consisting of Lathes (Medium and large size), VTL and Band saw machines for Proof Machining and Finish machining of various types of forgings - Shafts, Blinds, Tube sheets, Gears, Crank Shafts, Rings, Blocks etc.

The person should be experience in Job Marking for machining to ensure optimum machining condition.


He should be able to prepare Job card / Loading of the machine w.r.t to the machine capacity, Motivate the workmen, coordinate with planning head to optimize production in line with the stated priority and calculate payments for the persons under Contract based on the work done ( as per job card).

Comply with the discipline and prevailing rules and regulation of the organization


Qualification:
B.E ( Mech.) with min. 2 years experience / DME with min. 4 years. However, this criteria can be waived off for highly experienced person.


Essential requirement:

a. Experience of working as a machine shop HOD in a forging manufacturing shop.

b. He should be able to Manage the Machine operators, Machining Contractors and coordinate with maintenance team for Autonomous maintenance (AM)/ Preventive Maintenance (PM)/ Break Down Maintenance (BM)

c. Conversant with Microsoft ( MS Excel, Word ), ERP ( Preferably BizSol)

d. He should be working with coordination with Planning & Marketing to fulfill the commitments.

e. Experience of working as a shop supervisor in a forging manufacturing shop

f. He should have machining knowledge of Turning, Machining and its parameters

g. Basic knowledge of Heat Treatment, Material Grades ( Carbon Steel, Alloy steel and Stainless Steel)

h. Knowledge of tools and Jigs and tools / Fixturing


Salary:
₹22, ₹35,000.00 per month
