Description

The Application Model Builder within the Data & Analytics team will hold an important role in the implementation of a new EPM Cloud platform to support Moody's FP&A functions.

The role will lead technical workstream to transform and develop analytical data models across Finance, participate in data integrations, and replace legacy system via change management approach.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Build EPM data models from conceptual, logical, to physical data models
Facilitate effective data modelling discussion with the business to understand their use cases
Translate technical concepts into everyday terms and tailor the right level of details depending on audiences
Work with various internal customers to identify data sources, data updates, reporting methodologies, and endtoend workflow
Configure EPM user security framework based on operating and reporting models
Work with implementation partner to develop efficient metadata maintenance process in EPM to support ongoing operational Code Block changes and ensure workstreams achievements and results are met per schedules
Review detailed BRD, FDD, and TDD to show a comprehensive efficient design that meets the business functions and requirements
Collaborate with other project members to perform unit testing, build SIT test plan, perform SIT testing, and lead defect remediation effort
Assist with preparation of project status materials to be presented to the project sponsor committee
Address and resolve functional and technical issues and deliver training to junior team members

SCOPE/SUPERVISION:

Raise concerns to the appropriate level of management and keeps management up to date on activities.
Present management with recommendations for resolving key sophisticated issues
Keep an operational efficiency mentality when developing and improving financial data models
Bachelor or graduate degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields
5+ years of experience in data modelling, business analysis, and system operations
Experience with various IT project lifecycles is a plus
Experience leading multifunctional teams to achieve common business goals
Experience with EPM Cloud tools (i.e. Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik) in budgeting, forecasting or related finance field
Indepth understanding of EPM architectural platform, security model, calculation functions, and business rules
Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and AWS architecture and services a plus
Excel spreadsheet skills along with experience in JIRA and ServiceNow platform

Preferred skills:

Experience programming in VB.NET
