Job Description:


Opportunity Summary:


We are looking for a product designer that can help build the future of our product by contributing to every aspect of the product development process - from user research, to brainstorming ideas, to crafting the most delightful interaction, to polishing pixels.

You'll flex your full range of research, product design, interaction design, and visual design muscles.


What would you do?:


  • You'll own the endtoend experience of how our customers interact with the product.
  • You'll be the strongest advocate for our users by contributing to the product design strategy all the way to the UI details.
  • You'll work closely with product managers to understand problems and identify user needs and motivations.
  • You'll use effective user science (user testing, surveys, etc.) to uncover the best solutions to high potential user problems.
  • You'll work closely with engineers, to help with the implementation of designs, ensuring design solutions are understood and executed correctly.
  • You'll be learning and contributing through regular design meetings and weekly critiques with other designers.
  • You'll align regularly with other designers in the same org to grow the design practice.
  • You'll be defining and maintaining UX best practices, ensuring consistency and usability across products.
  • You'll be reporting to the Product design manager and the Director of Product.

Technical Skills:

The following skills are needed for this role.


Experience

  • You have at least 2+ years of experience designing quality digital products and systems that have shipped (not just websites).

Primary Skills

  • You can design simple, elegant interactions for complex task flows.
  • You have experience designing tests and prototypes, performing user testing, and synthesizing results to inform your design decisions.
  • You can create beautiful hifidelity mockups, preferably using Sketch.
  • You have excellent communications you can clearly articulate product design decisions and the reasoning behind them.
  • It's a bonus if you have experience working within teams that incorporate Lean UX and/or agile methodologies

Soft Skills

You relish examining a problem space and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You're curious not only about users, but the products and the business that aim to serve them.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in UX. Any additional certifications are a plus, but not required.

This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
