    Role summary

    The Manager, Third Party Risk Management Operations will have accountability to manage Third Party Risk Management Operations team. This role will report to xxxx, within the Global Procurement & Payment team who provide strategic procurement and payment services to the enterprise globally.

    Third Party Risk Management Operations team is a newly established function within the Global Procurement & Payment organization. The team supports Sun Life's Supplier Risk Management Program in terms of program awareness, operations efficiency and data quality across the enterprise globally.

    What you will do?

    Team Management

  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Third Party Risk Management Operations team in supporting the awareness of the Third Party Risk Management program and guiding business through the Third Party Risk Management process
  • Lead Third Party Risk Management Operations cohort to share best practices and ensure consistency of Third Party Risk Management program across the enterprise
  • Ensure process handovers are well defined and followed through by the team
  • Leverage dashboards and reports to manage the team's KPIs

    • Reporting and Governance

  • Leverage e-procurement and Third-Party Risk management applications (Ariba, ServiceNow) to generate reports and dashboards that can be used for the Third-Party Risk Management Operations team's daily work and program status report
  • Support the development and maintenance of appropriate organizational reporting on supplier risk

    • Monitoring Industry Trends and Best Practices

  • Support the identification of new supplier risk management requirements as a result of industry or regulatory changes
  • Support the identification of industry trends in effective supplier risk management and identifies improvements for Sun Life
  • Support the continuous improvement of Third Party Risk Management program at Sun Life and its connection to Source-to-Pay process and supplier life cycle management

    • What you need to succeed:

  • University degree
  • Strong team management and leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills - must have the ability effectively present recommendations
  • Strong client service orientation with good interpersonal skill
  • Good understanding of sourcing/procurement process, supplier risk and supplier lifecycle management
  • 5 years of experience in people and team management

    • Preferred skills:

  • Experience with e-procurement systems (e.g. Ariba) and ServiceNow
  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting/dashboarding
  • Strong MS Office skills - including PowerPoint and Excel
