Job Description

Develop processes to proactively monitor and alert for critical metrics
Recommend additional integrations with other tools for improved monitoring
Verify monitoring tool configuration by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of configurations to ensure proper monitoring in production
This role requires individuals to be flexible about working during nonbusiness hours, Europe & US shifts.

Primary Skills

Minimum of 4+ years of overall experience with strong focus on APM (Application performance monitoring)
4+ years working with Elastic Stack
Trained / Experienced on least one additional tool (Splunk, Appdynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic )
Experience with deployment configuration and customization of Agents on both Windows and Linux Operating Systems
Expert level knowledge on writing GROK patterns and logstash filters
DSL query writing experience and ability to generate reports using kibana
X-Pack implementation, including SSO / LDAP, Slack, Hipchat, service now, integrations
Hands on experience with scripting (bash, powershell, python)
Experienced in owning end to end responsibilities for implementation
Experienced in mentoring and leading a team of 2
Application and Webserver monitoring or Infrastructure performance monitoring and Application Analytics using Elastic
Software performance engineering and RCA using ELK

Secondary Skills

ElasticStack certification
Exposure to cloud deployments on AWS and Azure
Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of VBScript, Python is a plus
Hands on experience with Coded-UI Scripts
Automation experience with Ansible or Chef
Experience in building Kibana plugins
Exposure to other APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios etc.)
Trained / experienced in project management practices (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, ITL)
