Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct indepth market research to identify market opportunities, emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for expansion
  • Analyze data to determine opportunities for growth and new product development

Business Strategy Development:

  • Formulate and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Lead the process of opening new retail stores, from site selection and negotiations to store setup and launch

In-Store Visual Merchandising:

  • Design and implement visually appealing store layouts, displays, and window arrangements to attract and engage customers.
  • Utilize visual merchandising techniques to optimize product placement and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Digital Integration:

  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to ensure seamless integration of online and offline retail strategies.
  • Develop strategies to leverage digital channels for driving instore traffic and supporting onlinetooffline customer journeys.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new customer relationships to drive sales and revenue.

Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay informed about competitors and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge
  • Utilize market intelligence to make datadriven decisions and adjustments to business strategies.

Product Customization and Merchandising:

  • Collaborate with the product development team to create customized têxtile and home furnishing products based on customer preferences.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure the display and promotion of niche products instore.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms for the company.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams based on customer interactions and market dynamics.

Team Leadership and Training:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance the team's product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Masters in Retail Management, Retail Marketing Strategy or a related field
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the retail sector with a focus on têxtiles and home furnishings
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics in the têxtile and home furnishing industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
