    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop efficient process plans for the layout of stores and plant facilities.
    • Analyze production processes, material flow, and inventory management to optimize layout designs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and engineering to gather requirements and constraints for layout planning.
    • Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create and evaluate layout designs, considering factors such as space utilization, workflow efficiency, and safety regulations.
    • Develop detailed documentation including layout drawings, equipment specifications, and material handling procedures.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess proposed layout changes and improvements.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, productivity, and safety within stores and plant facilities.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for the procurement and installation of equipment and infrastructure related to layout modifications.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to operations teams during implementation and execution of layout plans.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience in process planning, layout design, or facility planning within manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex processes and systems.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and ergonomic design considerations.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to plant layout and workplace safety.

    Skills:

    • Process Planning: Designing and optimizing layouts for stores and plant facilities.
    • CAD Design: Utilizing CAD software for layout design and documentation.
    • Simulation: Using simulation tools to evaluate layout designs and assess performance.
    • Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement layout changes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance process efficiency and productivity.

    Preferred:

    • Certification in Industrial Engineering or related field.
    • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
