Associate - Strategy and Sustainability PMO (program management office) for Siemens Energy

We're searching for a Strategic, Team Builder, Trusted Partner, Problem Solver, Change Agent. If this describes you, we have an exciting opportunity.


This role is part of the Strategy and Sustainability team which is responsible for working with the Executive Vice President and Head - Energy, Siemens Ltd.

India, to drive multiple topics including business strategy, business excellence, optimization, PMO and sustainability across the organization.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in driving a strong culture of accountability, execution, collaboration, and customer focus across the Siemens Energy businesses.

Your role is to help us to continue to do that, and proactively identify and drive actions.

The different dimensions of the role include:

Support set up of critical processes in context of SE India's special situation:With SE IN not getting carved out as part of global spin off of Siemens Energy from Siemens AG, SE in India is in a unique position. While we continue to be operationally integrated/ aligned with SE Global, our financial and legal reporting (including governance aspects) is into Siemens AG. There is a need to
revisit and redefine our process framework and associated roles and responsibilities to ensure the needs of different stakeholders are met. These process include approval process for new business (referred to as LOA within Siemens parlance); enablement of functional reporting lines into Siemens Energy global; Capex and investment decisions; and any other aspects which may come up over time. In addition, coordination of approval process for
sustainability related matters with Governance,
ESG Radar tool, Project Raven as and when required.

Markets, strategies and business plans:In this role, you would be expected to keep an
eye on the external market developments in terms of technology trends, regulatory changes, customers and competitors, and use that to
help constructively challenge and define our growth strategies right up to development of short and long term business plans. This will
involve global and local market definition in context of our portfolio; and stakeholder alignment on risks, opportunities and strategies

Drive SE global and country priorities across SE in India and the SE sub-region India:With multiple stakeholders (SE global, SE hub ASP, Siemens Limited country management, Siemens Limited Board of Directors), there are priorities and initiatives which are defined for implementation across the organization. In the role of PMO, you will support streamlining these initiatives, communicating it across the business units, drive implementation and also update the relevant stakeholders on the desired outcomes.

Coordinate with POC SEA for all SE India business governance topics primarily related to annual business targets, market analysis, ESG topics, sustainability dashboards, etc.


The above are broad elements of the role; and the expectation is to do whatever is needed to help run a successful growing business and keep key stakeholders updated.

In doing so, while you will have the full support and sponsorship from the SE India management team, you will need to ideate, influence, build internal and external network, work with virtual teams, and drive tangible outcomes.

We don't need superheroes, just super minds

  • Master's degree in Business Administration / Management
- ~5 years work experience (not necessarily in the Energy space) in a business development, or strategy consulting role

  • Understanding of the Power Generation, Transmission, Oil & Gas relevant sectors & markets would be a plus
  • Learning mindset and are interested in bringing new ideas for strategy execution, whilst working in a supportive team working environment
