- Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems for workspace environments, including power distribution, lighting, HVAC controls, and data communication infrastructure.
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze client requirements and project specifications to determine electrical system needs, considering factors such as space constraints, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that electrical designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations, including but not limited to NEC, IEC, and ASHRAE guidelines.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for electrical systems, using CAD software and other relevant tools.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate electrical components, fixtures, and equipment based on project requirements, performance criteria, and budget considerations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and hazards related to electrical systems and propose mitigation measures to ensure the safety and reliability of workspace environments.
- Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering and workspace design, and integrate innovative solutions into projects where applicable.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with architects, interior designers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into workspace designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Previous experience in electrical design for commercial or office spaces.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies is a plus.
