- A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department in a variety of settings such as hotels, hospitals, or residential spaces.
Their day-to-day tasks may include:
- Maintaining cleanliness:
- Inspecting guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met. Addressing any issues or areas that require attention, such as repairs or maintenance.
- Inventory control:
- Monitoring and tracking housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring they are wellstocked and in good condition. Maintaining records of inventory and ordering new supplies when necessary.
- Coordinating schedules:
- Creating work schedules for housekeeping staff, considering factors like occupancy levels and special requests. Ensuring adequate coverage to meet operational needs.
- Addressing any guest concerns or requests related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Implementing and enforcing policies:
- Enforcing policies and procedures related to cleanliness, safety, and security. Training staff on these policies and ensuring compliance.
- Collaboration with other departments:
- Coordinating with other departments, such as front office or maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
