    Description

    Overview:

    The DatastageDeveloper plays a crucial role in the organization by designingdeveloping and implementing ETL processes using Datastage tosupport the data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.This position is essential for ensuring the efficient and accurateextraction transformation and loading of data from source systemsto the data warehouse.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Designing anddeveloping ETL processes using IBMDatastage
    • Collaborating with stakeholders tounderstand data requirements and develop ETLsolutions
    • Performing data analysis dataprofiling and data validation to ensure dataquality
    • Optimizing ETL processes forperformance and scalability
    • Creating andmaintaining ETL documentation and datalineage
    • Troubleshooting and resolving ETL jobfailures and data issues
    • Participating in codereviews and providing technical guidance to teammembers
    • Collaborating with databaseadministrators data modelers and businessanalysts
    • Utilizing SQL and Unix scripting forETL development and maintenance
    • Implementingbest practices for ETL development anddeployment
    • Supporting data warehousing andbusiness intelligence initiatives
    • Developingand maintaining ETL job schedules and monitoringprocesses
    • Working on data migration andintegration projects
    • Ensuring compliance withdata governance and security policies
    • Keepingabreast of industry trends and advancements in ETLtechnologies

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield
    • Proven experience in designing anddeveloping ETL solutions using IBMDatastage
    • Strong understanding of datawarehousing concepts andmethodologies
    • Proficiency in SQL for datamanipulation and querying
    • Experience with Unixscripting for ETL development andautomation
    • Knowledge of data integration andETL best practices
    • Familiarity with datamodeling and database concepts
    • Ability toanalyze and troubleshoot ETL job performance and dataissues
    • Excellent communication andcollaboration skills
    • Capability to workeffectively in a team environment andindependently
    • Understanding of data governancedata security and regulatorycompliance
    • Experience with data migration dataprofiling and data validation
    • Strongproblemsolving and analyticalabilities
    • Relevant certifications in ETL toolsand technologies is a plus
    • Ability to adapt tochanging business requirements andpriorities
