Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand current database system with business operation demands and technical capability.

Develop, support, or review physical data model design in various modern platform structures such as HBase, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse and others.

Provide technical documentations for knowledge transform, technical training, coaching for project stakeholders

Support solution and proposal for RFI/RFP/PoC/Prototype/tech evaluations.

Liaise with Key Stakeholders for critical decisions

Experience:

5+ years relevant experience in Data architecture, Data modelling, Database design & other role with strong DBMS/DWH/Data Lake implementation experience

8-12 years of experience in end-to-end database development and project delivery

Hands-on data modelling, database design ability

Skills:

Strong Data modelling, Data architecture design and governance skills.

Solid database knowledge and skills on Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, HBase, Synapse, MS-SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle, and/or MySQL.

Familiar with mainstream ETL tools (Informatica/PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, and/or Azure solutions).

Strong knowledge on data model, hands-on experience of data modelling.

System investigation and requirement analytic skills and capabilities.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in technology/related field

Nice to have:
Insurance industry background

DBA experiences, Modern data warehouse design experience

Understand data mart technology over bigdata infra platform

Data replication, consolidation and migration experiences

Experience of BI such as power BI, Qlik

Understand with OLTP (online transaction process) and OLAP (online analytics process) processes

Cloud experiences with Azure

Understanding IT security

Project management skills
