Job description

  • Interviewing patients to determine their medical history, including allergies and current medications, conditions, and other relevant information
  • Coordinating patient care with physicians and other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for each case
  • Performing clerical tasks such as updating patient charts and entering data into electronic records systems
  • Preparing patients for procedures such as administering anesthesia or taking blood samples
  • Ensuring that operating room staff has all necessary supplies and equipment before each operation begins
  • Maintaining an inventory of sterile surgical supplies and equipment such as gauze, gloves, and masks
  • Preparing patients for surgery by administering preoperative medications or performing other tasks such as shaving hair or administering intravenous fluids.
