Description

As a Professional Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products by conducting comprehensive testing and identifying defects.

You will work closely with the development team to understand requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report issues. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning:

Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and create test plans and strategies that align with project goals and objectives.

Test Design:

Design test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on functional and technical specifications, ensuring maximum coverage of software features.

Defect Identification and Reporting:

Identify and report software defects, bugs, and issues using a designated bug tracking system, including clear and detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and supporting documentation.

Regression Testing:
Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure that previously developed functionality is not affected.

Test Documentation:
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.

Test Automation:
Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the development team, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify issues, and ensure effective communication throughout the testing process.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices, and actively contribute to improving testing processes and techniques within the organization.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer.

Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.

Familiarity with various testing techniques, such as functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.

Experience in test case design and execution, defect tracking, and test management tools.

Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.

Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:
ISTQB or other relevant certifications.

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

Salary:
Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
