    We are looking for an SEO specialist to join our marketing team and help strengthen our online presence.

    ABOUT THIS JOB:

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for search engine optimization and have a holistic understanding of digital marketing. The work would be at FreeElective Network's office in the heart of Chennai, a few miles from the IIT-Madras campus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct keyword research using various available tools (e.g., Keyword Planner)
    • Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities in our content marketing efforts
    • Use available writing tools to draft content for user engagement and conversions
    • Implement link building strategies and manage backlinks to build online authority
    • Track and report on relevant SEO metrics on a regular basis
    • Monitor results of all programs, including SEM and SMM, and analyze performance using a variety of analytical tools, to maximize returns from marketing
    • Follow SEO trends and stay up-to-date with new tools and practices
    • Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality

    QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prior work experience as an SEO analyst or similar digital marketing role
    • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in Google Analytics
    • Excellent knowledge of keyword research and management tools and office productivity software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
    • Understanding of ranking factors and search engine optimization practices

    PREFERENCES:

    • Experience with email campaigns and paid advertising
    • Bachelor's or higher degree in marketing, economics, data science, business, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, or engineering

    DESIRED SOFT SKILLS:

    • Team player with strong analytical and project management skills
    • Organized and detail-oriented individual who works well with deadlines
    • Willingness to learn, switch roles as necessary, and to roll up one's sleeves to get a job done
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
    • Energized by the opportunities and challenges of working at a small and growing company
